He had been the president of US for four years. His assassination took place when US was still trying to end the ongoing civil war. Most historians believe that if Lincoln had been alive, he could have developed good relations with the congress and made reconstruction easy on the Southern region (Burgan 46).According to Ford (p19), the late president John F.
